A while back, we mentioned that we were teaching a course at ICLP on how to learn Chinese characters using the Outlier method. The course has now finished, and we’ve gotten some great feedback from the students. Topics included how to tell the function of each component in a character, how to spot sound components, and what some of the most common meaning components are and how they work. ICLP has invited us to teach the course again, so we’ll be offering it again in the spring quarter which begins in late March. So, if you’re at ICLP and were unable to take it last quarter, here’s your chance!
